I help women at midlife navigate their careers.
Midlife is often a time of re-evaluating our priorities and values, at work and at home and reimagining our future. We have increased self awareness. We have lived through loss - divorce, deaths, children leaving, illnesses - which has impacted our sense of self and our sense of time. Our family responsibilities have changed. And, our focus on finances, impact, and alignment moves front and center.
We get that today is "one day."
The women I coach love working (most days...) Through a career pivot, changing industries, founding or scaling a business, seeking a promotion, or stepping into or excelling at a leadership role they are ready to refine and redefine their professional identity.
Sometimes I am contacted due to a disruption: a job loss, new leadership, key employee has left, restructuring, overlooked for a promotion, unpleasant work environment they no longer choose to tolerate. Whatever the disruption, they are left spinning.
Sometimes they contact me as they are entering new territory: a leadership role, returning to work, self employment, prepping for retirement. And, they want a partner to help them elevate, plan, and execute.
No matter the situation, through mindset work, skill development, and strategy, I help each client maximize her professional midlife experience.
If this is you, you are in the right place.
One of the most common professional complaints from women at midlife is feeling stuck or stagnant in their careers.
And when this happens it has an impact on all areas of your life, especially your well being and relationships.
Is this you? Maybe you feel you have hit a plateau and are not able to advance or grow in your current role. This can be particularly frustrating if you have put in years of hard work and feel like you are not being recognized or rewarded for you efforts.
Or maybe you feel undervalued or underpaid, are ready to shift industries, or are struggling to balance work and family responsibilities.
Or maybe you feel you are facing limited career opportunities or are being passed over for promotions in favor of younger colleagues.
You are not alone.
And, women at midlife may be particularly vulnerable to these issues as they navigate a period of transition and change in their lives.
The reason you are not living the life
you most desire has a lot to do with
the stories you are telling yourself
And before you roll your eyes... I promise this is very good news because you can more easily change your thoughts than you can your circumstances.
We all have a soundtrack playing on repeat in our brain. And, the soundtrack is filled with thoughts you may not be aware that you are thinking, 80% of which are filled with judgment. Time to take the aux cord about from Judge Judy.
If you are like most women, you have been judging yourself for so long that now it is simply a habit. Judge what you see in the mirror. Judge what you just said. Judge your past. Judge your bank account. Judge your relationships. Judge where your life has been hard. Judge what you have not accomplished. Judge where you've been wronged. And when you get stuck in the habit of judging thoughts you limit yourself immensely.
I teach you how to master your mind to turn off your inner judge and get unstuck.
I coach women at midlife to stop hiding.
I help you take risks, overcome fears and tame your self doubt as you intentionally elevate your life.
I help you turn off your inner judge.
I work with women who want to …
Stop hiding their desires.
Stop hiding their feelings.
Stop hiding professionally.
Stop hiding in a relationship.
Stop hiding in their body.
When we hide we avoid all that is available to and for us.
We avoid pleasure.
We avoid growth.
We avoid extraordinary - love, abundance, money, fulfillment.
And this is often because we are scared.
We feel fear.
Fear of making a wrong decision.
Fear of being judged.
Fear of looking stupid.
Fear of what others will think.
Fear of failing.
Fear of embarrassment.
Fear of rejection.
Fear of finances.
Fear that there won’t be any better than here.
Fear that disrupting won’t be worth it.
So we learn to live mostly in a space of doubt and worry and familiarity.
We learn to make excuses for staying stuck - not the right time, don’t have what it takes, can’t afford the change, don’t have husband’s support, kids are too little, etc…
"Kristin perfectly blended humor, compassion, encouragement, truth and straight forwardness in a way that is very easy to hear. After each session, I was able to reflect and digest what we covered as well as reexamine and question my beliefs and mindset. Most importantly, I am getting things done and feeling better about who I am and where I am at this stage in the journey."

"I now stop, take a breath and ask, "Is that really true or is that just a thought?" I started coaching after reading several of your posts and feeling they were speaking to me. I was in a rut and decided to give it a try. I feel that I have more useful tools to handle life as well as a more positive outlook."

"Kristin is an amazing life coach — empathetic, understanding, and not at all judgmental. She is very intuitive and hears what you are perhaps not saying, shining a spotlight on those thoughts. And as you discuss those with her, she shares the tools that will help you improve your relationships, achieve your goals, or just plain make you feel better."

I serve as a coach for your mind, a teacher of strategy, and a career consultant. Together we will define your strengths, values, and possible areas of self sabotage.
Through a combination of thought work and learning how to: self promote, set boundaries, make decisions, manage your time, have difficult conversations, position yourself for a promotion, effectively interview, define and solve for obstacles, negotiate, influence culture, you will have a new approach to managing your career.
And as we work together, it is inevitable that uncomfortable feelings may surface: fear, anxiety, worry, resentment, disappointment. I will teach you how to allow for these feelings, and not let them stop your progress.
And, you probably noted above, I work as both a career and life coach.
When you reimagine your professional life, we take into account all that you desire for your personal life too.
Your personal and professional goals are intertwined. If you are struggling with caring for an aging parent, a death, a divorce, children leaving home, it can affect your job performance and career goals. Similarly, if you are feeling unfulfilled in your career, it can impact your overall happiness and well-being.
Achieving a healthy work-life balance (not fifty, fifty, but a dance between the two) is essential for overall well-being and job satisfaction. As your coach, we lean into your values to find a balance that works for you.
Personal growth and development are essential for achieving professional success. Coaching you to develop your personal skills, such as communication or time management, can help you excel in your professional life.
Sometimes personal issues can be underlying factors that are holding you back in your career. Maybe you are overworking because you are dissatisfied with your personal life, or maybe you have a limiting money mindset that is keeping you stuck where you are, or maybe you feel like an imposter and fear you'll be found out. Addressing these can create freedom you may not have felt before.
You are one whole person.
I work with all of you.
Your mind is your best friend.
But it can also be your worst enemy.
When we allow the inner judge's voice to influence us,
we stay stuck.
This approach creates a life of default thoughts,
default emotions, and default habits.
Coaching with me is where default living ends and
intentional futures are created.
I teach you how to master your mind
to release this judging and create
Women hire me for one area of their life and leave with all areas of their lives impacted.
I will help you challenge your assumptions, become an observer of your mind, choose growth over perceived safety, approach your relationships with more emotional maturity, learn how to create any result you want.
Think of hiring me as the way to take a short cut to an elevated life.
